TONY GENTRY

Preacher Tony was reared in the state of Illinois at a place called Troy. This is not far from St. Louis, Missouri. Tony, along with his parents, attended the Collinsville Church. His dad serves as one of the elders there. Tony graduated from Harding University in 1989 and then in 1997 he graduated from Harding University Graduate School with a Master’s degree. He has served as youth minister in Texas and Missouri and in 2006 he became the minister at the Brookline Church where Hillard Story is one of the elders.

THANKS

In 1999 Tony was married to Johnna Burnett. Her parents are members of the church in O’Fallen, Missouri. Tony and Johnna have two daughters, Alexis and Sophia. We appreciate this good family and the work that they are doing with the Brookline Church. In a special way, we thank brother Gentry for his good sermons. Tony will preach and teach this morning and after the all-church-meal, he will preach at 12:45 PM. This will conclude the Revival and we thank all who have attended. Surely we can say in the words of the Scriptures, “It has been good to be here.”

CHURCH

If you don’t have a good church home and you have been here during the Revival and you like the Central Church, then we would like to have you with us on the joyful journey to Heaven. We are not a perfect church but we try to be a good people who worship and serve the Lord to the best of our ability. Also we want to be a church where everybody is somebody and Christ is Lord. You will like this church.

READ THIS

Did you know that we cannot live in isolation? According to experts, you can capture one bee and provide the best environment and living conditions, but within three days the bee will die. It is a must for one bee to be with other bees. The association in the hives keep the bees alive. They depend on each other for their survival. Christians are much like the bees. Christians need one another in the assembly of worship, fellowship, love, prayer, work and good encouragement. You need me and I need you and all of us need the Lord.

COME

Since the first century, churches of Christ have set aside Sunday for worship. According to Scriptures, the church began as recorded in Acts chapter two. In the Book of Acts and in the Book of First Corinthians, the early disciples sang, prayed, preached, communed at the Lord’s table, and gave an offering on the First Day of the Week. Why mention this? Because churches of Christ are to do the same in worship in every generation. Come and meet with us every Sunday because you will be blessed and you will be a blessing. Come with a Bible in your hand and a smile on your face and a spring in your step. I’ll look for you in your place.
